April is Autism Awareness Month, and The Birchtree Center is marking the occasion by launching a series of admission-free Autism Workshops. Parents, caregivers, educators, and service providers who work with individuals on the autism spectrum are all invited to attend.

The Birchtree Center, a Newington-based nonprofit serving children and youth with autism, announced the election of board members for 2012-2013. The newest board members are Allison Bussiere, MaryLiz (ML) Geffert, Bob Gross, Richard Guare, Ann Tarlton, and Mike Teixeira.
The Birchtree Center Welcomes New Board Members
The Birchtree Center recently welcomed three new members to its board of directors: Bruce Dicker, Gregory Majewski, and Carol McClard.
Architect Bruce Dicker of Dover is Principal and CEO of JSA, Incorporated, a design firm with offices in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and Jacksonville, Florida. Dicker became familiar with Birchtree’s programs and students while serving as principal architect for interior renovations to The Birchtree Center’s new facility in Newington. Now that construction is complete, Dicker continues his support of Birchtree as a volunteer board member.
