“Caring for the coast, one step at a time” is the motto of the Seacoast Half Marathon. Each year, the organization donates 100% of the net proceeds to a mindfully selected Seacoast nonprofit organization. The Birchtree Center is honored to be the 2018 beneficiary of the race.
The Seacoast Half Marathon is a well-organized, fast, fun, and safe race that highlights the beauty of New Hampshire’s historic seacoast. Runners and walkers at all ability levels can enjoy themselves while also significantly benefiting our community.
The race starts and ends at Portsmouth High School and goes through the salt marsh and along the rugged Atlantic coast in Rye, NH, as well as through the scenic and historic village of New Castle, NH. All racers receive long-sleeve tech race shirts and medals when they cross the finish line. There are great post-race eats, and cash and merchandise awards for overall and age group winners.
As of October 4, the race is sold out, but a limited number of additional entries will be auctioned off throughout October as a fundraiser to benefit this year’s race beneficiary, The Birchtree Center. See https://www.ebay.com/usr/birchtree_center for more information.
Do you want to be a part of the Seacoast Half Marathon, but don’t want to run/walk it? How about volunteering? All volunteers get a long/sleeve tech Seacoast Half shirt, plus coffee and goodies to start their day. Click here to register to volunteer.
