Film Screening & Panel Discussion The Music Hall in Portsmouth is offering a special Wildcard Movie presentation of The Horse Boy on April 28 in commemoration of Autism Awareness Month. Following the film, you can hear from a panel of autism experts including The Birchtree Center's Program Director, Dr. Sandra Pierce-Jordan. In April 2004 Rowan Isaacson, a two year old boy, was diagnosed with autism. The charming, animated, blue-eyed, brown-haired boy suddenly ceased to say the few words he had accrued over the previous year. In the summer of 2007, Rowan’s parents took Rowan to Mongolia, journeying on horseback from healer to healer, shaman to shaman, across the wide Steppe, and up into the forests of Siberia. This is their story. NR, 93mins, US, 2009 Tickets: $8.50 Adults; $6.50 Seniors 60+, Students & Military ($.50 non-refundable fee applies for online sales). To view a movie trailer, click here. |
