April is Autism Awareness Month, and the perfect time to jump start your health and fitness goals!

Here are your steps to participate:

  1. Set a personal health/fitness/wellness goal for the month of April. Will you walk a number of miles, spend a number of hours doing a favorite fitness activity, eat a number of healthy meals, get closer to your target weight, or do something else health-related? We encourage you to develop a personal goal that is healthy, reasonable, measurable, and meaningful to you. You can set an individual goal or team up with friends, family, and colleagues to get healthy as a group!
  2. Spread the word about your goal to your family and friends. Encourage them to support your efforts by making a donation to The Birchtree Center’s Student Support Fund. We’ll provide each participant with a personal fundraising web page that makes it easy to get the word out and invite people to donate.
  3. Track your progress throughout the month of April–and have fun doing it!
  4. Celebrate your success at our culminating event on May 11th. The event will feature a student performance and awards given to the top fundraisers.

All donations go to the nonprofit Birchtree Center’s Student Support Fund, which underwrites essential educational and therapeutic equipment, supplies and services for students with autism–as well as admission-free Autism Q&A Sessions for families living with autism in our community.
