April is Autism Awareness Month, and the perfect time to jump start your health and fitness goals!
Here are your steps to participate:
All donations go to the nonprofit Birchtree Center’s Student Support Fund, which underwrites essential educational and therapeutic equipment, supplies and services for students with autism–as well as admission-free Autism Q&A Sessions for families living with autism in our community.

Have fun getting fit while you help local students with autism! When you take specially scheduled fitness classes at Mission Portsmouth this afternoon, your entire class fee will go directly to support the nonprofit Birchtree Center’s Student Support Fund.
Available classes are:
2pm Cycle: Beats
2pm Mission: Barre
3pm TRX: Pace
3pm Yoga: Beats
Each class costs $15/person and lasts 50-60 minutes. Thank you, Mission Portsmouth, for your incredible generosity!

Help local students with autism while you enjoy a barre class! Join us on Saturday, April 8, from 10-11am at LA Beatz dance studio at 109 Gosling Road in Newington. Class will be taught by certified barre instructor Mary Sheehy. A $10 donation is suggested; all proceeds go to the nonprofit Birchtree Center’s Student Support Fund. Register or donate here.

When you use Birchtree’s book fair voucher to purchase books, CDs, DVDs, café meals, magazines, Nook e-readers & accessories, and other merchandise at any Barnes & Noble store or online on Saturday, April 8th, a portion of your purchase will go towards The Birchtree Center’s programs for children and youth with autism.
Visit Birchtree’s table at the Newington store from noon to 3pm to enjoy a fun, hands-on activity.
From 1-3pm, you can also meet author Lisa Morgan at the Newington store. Lisa Morgan is the author of Living Through Suicide Loss with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD): An Insider Guide for Individuals, Family, Friends, and Professional Responders. She is also one of the contributors to Been There. Done That. Try This! An Aspie’s Guide to Life on Earth.
The author will be available to discuss her work and sign copies of her books. If you have questions, please call the Newington store at 603.422.6472 and ask for Sally.

Margaritas will donate 20% of pre-taxed food and beverage sales from participating families, friends and supporters to The Birchtree Center.
Guests can choose items from any of their menus, takeout orders included. Call ahead seating is available at (603) 743-6363.

At the Regatta Room
Live & silent auctions
Join us at the Regatta Room at Shipyard Brewery for live music, live and silent auctions, raffles, appetizers, desserts, and drinks. All proceeds benefit the nonprofit Birchtree Center’s educational and therapeutic programs for children and youth with autism and their families. Appetizers and desserts will be served; guests can also sample beers and other beverages from a cash bar hosted by Shipyard Brewery. Musicians Elijah Clark and Demijon will provide music throughout the event.
The Regatta Room is just 2.5 miles off of Route 95 and 11 minutes from downtown Portsmouth. Plenty of free parking is available onsite!
