The Birchtree Center Welcomes New Board Members


The Birchtree Center elected three new board members in the summer of 2014: Sarah Grazier, Dennis Riendeau and Amy Smucker.

The group also elected officers including Bruce Dicker, president; Andrew E. Smith, vice president; Allison Bussiere, secretary; and Dennis Riendeau, treasurer.

The newest board members join a sixteen-member board that also includes MaryLiz Geffert, Bob Gross, Richard Guare, Glicka Kaplan, Carol McClard, Ann Tarlton and Mike Teixeira as well as staff representatives.

As Vice President of Strategic Communications at Calypso Communications, Grazier directs communications strategies for some of the agency’s largest clients in the utility, private equity, renewable energy, retail, and manufacturing sectors. She was recently named a runner-up in the Catapult Seacoast and Seacoast Online’s Ten to Watch Young Professionals Awards and is a member of the Leadership Seacoast class of 2014.

A Certified Public Accountant since 1981, Riendeau serves as CPA Principal at Grott & Riendeau in Portsmouth. He has over 30 years of experience in accounting and finance and is also a Certified Forensic Financial Analyst.

For over a decade, Smucker has worked for private schools in both admissions and development. She is currently the Director of Advancement at Berwick Academy, a Pre-K through 12 college preparatory school in South Berwick, where she oversees all fundraising, development and advancement activities.
