We wish you could be here to enjoy the delicious smells coming from our students’ cooking projects! Birchtree’s students enjoy baking and cooking as part of their work to develop independent-living skills and pre-vocational skills. Some students create meals and snacks to share with classmates, while others create dishes to sell at The Nook, Birchtree’s student-run school store.

Thank you to the staff at Portsmouth Ford Lincoln, the Portsmouth Used Car Center, and Portsmouth Auto Body Center for a wonderful donation of pots, pans, appliances, gas cards, and shopping gift cards this past holiday season. Our students love working with the multi-cooker, ice-cream makers, and other equipment the staff donated. And the staff’s contributions towards student shopping trips have allowed students to practice their independent-living skills while shopping for ingredients.
